There is a certain tension along Cuba’s beautiful coastline. While tourists gaze peacefully at the Caribbean sunsets, many Cubans see instead the 91 miles between Cuba and the USA. This small distance has been navigated by both people escaping from Cuba and forces invading her. Fishermen may jokingly shout ‘only ninety one miles!’ to eachother as they push their boats out, but this coastline has seen thousands of clandestine escapes. With luck these families will only be divided across political boundaries, though many never arrive.
